Preliminary Findings

Okay, so they’ve asked that the results NOT be published, so these notes will be a little light

Reminder:
AESTB and Learning Technology Policy Framework guide this:
IBM was contracted to conduct a baseline technology assessment with the 74 public, separate, francophone and charter school authorities.
Phase 1 – Online Surveys of Teachers, authority leaders, etc.
Phase 2 – in Person and by telephone interviews to follow up:

Completed to date:
Teachers: 3605
Tech Leaders: 143
Authority Leaders: 563

We were able to review some of the overall trends and information from the preliminary baseline results. Can’t publish them yet, but they were quite interesting.

Province will not be making recommendations, rather each jurisdiction will be able to look at their own and decide what it means for themselves. There may have to be a lot of contextual information distributed.
